Hi-dee-ho, folks!
I'm writing to you today after reaching the most important milestone of my life since the birth of my son Dominic almost 12 years ago... I turned 40 this past Wed!!!
Wow, what a rush! 40 years... am I really that old? I mean, where did the time go?
I almost didn't write a post today because I'm already exhausted with all of the planning surrounding my birthday celebration. I couldn't do it, though - it just felt wrong to miss 2 weeks in a row.
I had originally planned to just do a quiet get-together with extended family but lo and behold, Mon morning my big sister Nicole called me up to announce that she and my other siblings are planning a big shin-dig for me.
The budget's already covered because they got friends and family to donate a dining hall (really a huge tent) and various services like decorating, catering, A/V and dee-jaying.
They just wanted my help with deciding on themes, colors, any special guests to be invited, hosting out-of-town relatives/friends and designing e-vites. It's all coming together nicely but it's a lotta work!
So, what does all this have to do with you, huh? Well, seeing as I wasn't expecting to be this heavily involved in planning a major event at this time, the Twitter book release ("Get 100 Twitter Followers in 30 Days") will have to be postponed. I'm thinking about the 3rd or 4th week of June. That's not so bad, given that June is DGG's anniversary month (2 years and counting... yay!).
Well I thought I'd just fill you in on that - I know how eager you must be about the book launch, especially if you've earned a free copy.
Alrighty, folks. I've got to get back to planning my party now. Feel free to post some birthday wishes for me, if you're so inclined. I'd really appreciate it, and you know how much I love to show appreciation ;)
No big deal, I just like to know who my real fans are... they know why :)
